Lovely engine turned guilloche silver box with rose gold thumb piece /clasp. Hallmarked in London in 1937 by W H Menton. Opens and closes well. When closed it keeps closed and would be ideal for a bag or pocket. It has a really wonderfully crafted hidden hinge.
Could be used for pills or similar small items, small keepsakes etc. Also a nice collectors piece.
The box measures 4.4 cm by 3 cm and 1 cm high.

Condition: The box is in lovely condition commensurate with age and light to normal usage. The gilding inside the box is still good. Some light surface marks to the outside in line with its age. A good heavy gauge silver making this a robust useful little box. Clear hallmarks.
