Silver vesta by William Hair Haseler Birmingham 1923
A lovely vesta in good antique condition with a lovely patina decorated with the Prince of Wales feathers and delicate lines with a vacant cartouche to the front. Made by William Hair Haseler who sold many of his items through Liberty and hallmarked in 1923.
It has a side set ring to be attached to an Albert chain or chatelaine and given its attractive decoration it would make a lovely pendant. Some of our customers use their vestas to keep an emergency £20 note in.
The vesta has a strong spring and opens with good tension and snaps shut. It has surface wear and the usual light surface "pin" marks and scuffs in line with its age and normal usage. It has good clear hallmarks and makers mark on the lip of the closure and the sterling and date letter inside the lid.
