Silver topped vanity Dressing table jar Chester 1908
Silver topped glass trinket jar or cosmetic jar. Perfect for putting small items in and things like cotton wool buds etc. A lovely Chester silver lid by J and R Griffin and hallmarked in Chester in 1908 with good hallmarks. The Silver has been chased and embellished with a scrolling design and there is a vacant unpersonalised cartouche. The glass itself is original, elegant and a simple vertically faceted shape.

Width (base): 3.5 cms
Good condition commensurate with age and normal usage. The silver top has very small slight rubbing on high relief in 2 places - only noticeable using a loupe. Glass has some tiny nibbles and marks under the lid and a scratch on the base - please see photographs.
