A solid sterling silver sauce or gravy ladle in thick heavy gauge silver. The ladle is in a simple fiddle pattern with a thick drop or heel where the bowl meets the shaft to give extra strenghth. It is approx 18.5 cms long and the bowl is just over 6 cms across. It weighs a hefty 91 grams.
In excellent condition with a nice antique patina.
The terminal of the ladle is engraved with the letter J or T or D in script.. The hallmarks are crisp and clear although the makers mark has been poorly struck but is still legible.
