Silver Candelabra suite 2 Candelabra & 4 Candlesticks 1909 Hawkesworth Eyre Co

  • Great suite of matching hallmarked silver candelabra and candlesticks, comprising of a pair of three-light candelabra and four matching candlesticks. In the Georgian style these were made by Hawkesworth and Eyre Company of Rockingham Street Sheffield and hallmarked in 1909 and 1908.

    The candlesticks and candelabra all are round based with plain stems and capitols, with thread patterns to the arms of the candlesticks and bases.  The candelabra branches are detachable so they can also be used as 6 candlesticks. The bases are covered in black felt. The bases are weighted. The bases to the two candelabra bear presentation inscriptions which refer to the candelabra and the four candlesticks as a set. All the bases have the same initials in script which also tie in with the presentation inscription. These add to the history and provenance of the pieces
    Super quality, and a really fine display for the dining table, mantlepiece etc

    Height of each candlestick: 29.5 cm
