Scottish provincial silver Perth Sugar tongs Charles Murray c1825
Scottish Provincial Perth silver sugar tongs of very good quality by Charles Murray c 1825 stamped CM once on one side and CM twice on the other.
In fiddle and shell pattern design these tongs are made of good gauge silver and are sturdy to hold. They have some initials in script on the bow of the tongs. Please see the photographs.
Made by Charles Murray who was active in Perth from 1816 - 1833.
Useful for sugar or ice cubes.
They are around 16 cms long and weigh approx 71 grams.
Condition: In very good antique condition commensurate with age and light/normal usage.
