Pair of silver goblets City of York 1971
Two City of York Silver commemorative goblets made in 1971 to mark the 19 hundreth celebration of the founding of the city of York. They were hallmarked in Birmingham in 1971 and come complete with their certificates to this effect.
Their fronts are engraved with the dates 71AD and 1971 and the town's crest rests between the two dates. They have the limited edition numbers 457 and 458 engraved on their bases which corresponds to the accompanying certificate.
They are lightly gilder to the inside of their bowls. They weigh collectively 288 grams.
