A beautiful pair of Russian Cloisonne enamel silver salts with matching enamelled spoons from 1896.
Pair of Imperial Russian silver enamelled cauldron salts Gustav Klingert 1896
A lovely pair of antique Imperial Russian silver and polychrome cloisonné enamel salts and spoons by Gustav Klingert 1896.
The surfaces of the salts and the back of the bowls of the spoon are decorated with fine and beautifully executed cloisonné scrolling foliate designs in pale blue, darker blue red and white vitreous enamel.
The interior of the bowls still has gilding as do the bowls of the spoons the gilded appears to have worn from the outsides of the salts.
The hallmarks are on the base of the salts with some rubbing to the makers name. We cannot find any marks on the matching salt spoons.
The salts are 4 cms across and 2.5 cms high and have a combined weight with the spoons of 68 grams.
Condition: These salts and spoons are in excellent antique condition commensurate with age and light usage. The gilding is in good condition although worn on the base of the salts in line with their age. Enamelling in excellent condition.
