Exceptional James II Trefid spoon Edward Hulse 1688
A silver James II trefid spoon by Edward Hulse with excellent set of clear crisp hallmarks in good condition. London 1688
The spoon has prick engraved initials to the terminal and under these the date 1688. It has a beaded rat tail and oval bowl with fairly even wear. All with good patina and a good colour. Not over polished.
In addition to the usual marks there is also the letters SB possibly another maker.
The spoon measures 18.8 cms and weighs 36 grams.
