  • Son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesh is worshipped as one of the prime Hindu deities: Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Durga being the other 4. The elephant head of the Deity depicts wisdom and the trunk Om, the sound symbol of cosmic reality. Ganesh holds a noose in his left hand to capture difficulties and a goad in his right hand to help propel mankind ahead on their rightful path.

    The bronze is 6 inches high, the base is 2 inches by 2 inches and the statue is 4 inches across at its widest part.

    The statue is from the 1800s with a nice antique patina and feel. It weighs 560 grams approximately 19.75 ounces.
